Oklahoma Centennial Mustang National April 20 - 22, 2007 Donna and I attended the National Mustang Show in Mustang Oklahoma. We met up with about twenty Lincoln Mustang Club Members and One from the Omaha Mustang Club at York, NE then traveled south to Wichita, KS for lunch at Pizza Hut there. They were having a little show + shine next to Pizza Hut. 13 of their Club members joined out caravan south to Mustang Oklahoma. Biggest item Friday was I lost the lead car when we were in Oklahoma City during rush hour traffic and all of the Lincoln + Wichita Club members behind us. Our leader ran a red light and went over the hill. By the time we got to the top of the hill there was a fork in the road and no little yellow mustang in-site. Of course I chose the wrong way. Real nice to piss off the Club members in our group. Saturday we recovered and got to the all day show. There were approximately 500 mustangs in the show and lots more in the parking lot. Chip Foose had 6 cars there, the local Roush dealer had several vehicles and the Saleen dealer was also represented. Cars were judged all day Saturday and we attended a Poker Run that evening. Both Donna and I won door prizes that evening. We had rain Saturday night late but no hail (that was forecasted). We all sweated the evening. Sunday morning was more judging during the day until 2:00pm. Listened to the Governor and Mayor of Mustang for an hour and then awards started. Everyone in our group had won an award except Donna and I on our Roush. We were the last award given in the 2005 Roush Closed Class and received a 1st Place Award. We joined the national Yellow Mustang Club and made it home 8 hrs later. Dan & Donna Persson Kearney, NE
