Doug,
Tom, Donn, Ron, Jeff and Bill met at Ace around 5:30 Saturday
morning (in the rain). We met Rex in David City (in the rain)
and drove into Lincoln (in the rain). Dan Persson met us in
Lincoln (in the rain). After checking in, we were entries 1
through 8, we washed the Mustangs off; Anderson Ford was kind
enough to supply hoses and buckets. Then it rained again. And
again. And again. Each time we dried them off and detailed
again. Donna Persson came in with the 92 CV. Around 11:00
Fred and Sherri came in, Fred driving the 7UP Pony and the 66 in
the trailer.
Overall
it turned out to be a nice, enjoyable afternoon. We enjoyed,
after judging, to walk around and met some old friends and make
a few new ones.115 total entries. Most of us judged one class or
more to help out. Rex and Jeff assisted in line up and pre-registering
T-bird and Jeff handled the Model T’s and A’s. The dyno
testing was busy most of the day, too. Top reading was Mike
Anderson’s (Anderson Ford) 08 Shelby GT500 40th
Anniversary Edition (his CV and two other coupes were at the
show) at 548 RWHP.
Swede
and Bill stuck around for the banquet, entertainment and awards.
We had to pack the back seats of our Mustangs because….
WE
ALL GOT TROPHIES.
